    My oldest has been making a notebook filled with math worksheets and other things in preparation for the summer trips we’ve been planning. She'll be able to keep herself busy while also practicing everything she learned this past year. (Essentially, she's created a notebook of things to avoid the “summer slide.”)

    Children’s Book Review

    I read a lot of children’s books, as I’m sure a lot of other parents with young children do. I don’t think other parents read them the same way I do though. At least not the majority of them. As a writer, I’m constantly analyzing books as I read them to my daughter, to see what works and what doesn’t. Some kid’s books make me wonder why they were published. Others, it’s obvious.
