4 Ways to Make Life Easier for Moms in the New Year

Want four ways to make life easier and more enjoyable?

I didn’t get around to making a 2024 gift guide because, well, mom life. But here are four things I’ve loved using or discovering in 2024 that are already making my New Year easier.

Life as a mom is hectic. We may not be able to change that, but we sure can make it more enjoyable and possibly even a little easier. Take a look at the four things I believe will make life easier for you as a mom.

4 Ways to Make Life Easier

1. Give yourself the gift of joy and organization with a life planner, self-care notebook, and/or a finance planner. I’ve found you just can’t beat a paper planner, especially one as high quality as Erin Condren.

I use different colored markers for each of my family members to make it easier to keep track of everyone’s schedules and make my planner look more festive. Setting up my planner at the beginning of the month and each week has become a bit of a self-care date with myself as well.

Stay organized and care for yourself in the process. It’s a win-win. And when you can see everyone’s schedule in one place and keep track of finances, it makes life easier.

2. Give yourself the gift of energy. Mom life is full of late nights, early mornings, and often, interrupted sleep.

While nothing can replace getting enough sleep, I’ve found a three-step program from Thrive by LeVel (full review coming soon) that has made a world of difference in making it through the day, especially on days where my previous night’s sleep was not what I was hoping for.

And there’s potential to make some money in the process and receive your products for free. It can’t get much better than that.

3. Give yourself the gift of function with a playful twist on the chaos of motherhood.

Make life easier while you share that you’re exhausted and fueled by love or coffee, etc. Items are useful and can add a bit of humor to the craziness that is now your life. Get yourself a useful item that lets the world know you’re in your exhausted mom phase.

4. Give yourself the gift of grounding. Grounding has multiple benefits. To name a few, it can help you relieve stress and improve your mood, sleep better, and reduce pain or inflammation.

Walking barefoot outside will help you stay grounded, but it may be hard to do this while you’re working inside or on the go. A grounding mat can help you accomplish the same goals while inside.

Even if you’re able to walk barefoot outside during the nicer months, a grounding mat can help you ground during winter months if you live in an area that gets snow or a lot of rain. Grounding helps you release the electricity you accumulate using everyday technology like cell phones and computers and restore your body’s natural electrical equilibrium.
