Time for an update. Caffeine is my friend. My very, very good friend. I’m happy to report that my plan is working. Over the past two weeks I have only fallen asleep with the girls once. It was on a day when I didn’t have my second cup of caffeinated tea so I wasn’t really surprised when I woke to a dark room around midnight. That’s a monumental improvement from last month, when I think I stayed awake only two nights out of the whole month!
With so many nights awake, I’ve finished and sent off my overdue assignment, have just about finished the bear I’m knitting for my youngest (although it didn’t get done by her birthday), have made Christmas ornaments for both my daughters, have just about finished making a Christmas stocking for my youngest, paid the bills, balanced the check book and have spent some quality time with my husband. I don’t want to jinx myself, but I see a very productive 2013 coming on.
I am a bit behind on my progress for the FAD challenge Shannon M. Howell is putting on and my own challenge of 50,000 words by the end of the month though(which will again carry over to next month). With Christmas fast approaching and my youngest having her first birthday recently, December has been a bit busy. I am very confident I’ll be able to get the new year off to a great start by catching up on my writing in January and finish off my goal as well as the FAD challenge successfully.
Now to wrap some presents and finish getting ready for Santa to come. To use the words of Clement C. Moore, “Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!”
