Day 9 of NaNoWriMo.
So amazingly enough, I’m still going. I’ve surpassed the 15,000 word mark, which is just a marvel in itself for me. I keep meeting the word count goal each night and surpassing it. Sometimes only by a word or two, but a few nights I’ve passed it by a few hundred words. Each night is a new test to my determination though. I would love to just take a break, but I can’t stand to see the “words written today” stay at zero or have my bars on the graph not go up each day. Some nights it takes me longer than others, but I keep at it and here I am with 15,675 words of a story. My story.
And I’m only on chapter 8. It’s a pretty long chapter. I think I’ll have to break it into a few chapters. If this keeps happening, then maybe I’ll get closer to the 50,000 mark than I was originally thinking. On a random note, tonight I realized, writing dialogue comes much easier for me than anything else. I wonder what that says about me. Well, I’m feeling like this post is becoming just a ramble and I’m pretty tired even though it’s only 10pm, so that’s it for now.
If you’re doing NaNoWriMo as well, how are things going for you?
