So I’ve fallen off the writing band wagon. This past week has been a writing void. Tonight as if to say, reach out and grab your goals, a barn owl flew in front of my car. I mean right in front of it. I had to hit the brakes. As it flew right across my windshield I noticed it was clutching a rodent in its talons. That owl got what it wanted. It was telling me, don’t give up… you’ll get what you want too. I know I’m probably reading too much into this, but I’m going with it. After a week of having to put my writing aside, I’m back at it. Figuring out the juggling of my hats is still a work in progress. My wife hat and mother hat were worn a lot this past week. I’m a mother and wife before I’m a writer. I wouldn’t have it any other way. I know there’s a way to be a writer as well, and that’s what I’m working towards. I think I need to work on Angela Booth’s assignment from her 100 Day Writing Challenge from last week a little more. She says to ask. It doesn’t matter if it’s something small or large. Just ask. Writers ask. They ask for jobs, they ask to be published, they ask. I’m working on my asking. How are your asking skills? I’m getting better already.
