Day 3: Real life is starting to get in the way

Today it’s a little harder to get my fifteen minutes in, but the clock is ticking.  Luckily my mother in law is helping by watching my daughter.  Otherwise I don’t know that I would have been able to get my challenge stuff done (which I’m still working on as I write this) as well as write this blog for 15 minutes.  It’s date night with the hubby, so no time for writing tonight.  As it is, I’m juggling trying to get dinner together and cooking in between writing a few sentences at a time here.  It’d be nice just to order a pizza, but I’ve slacked a bit on dinner the last two nights and we need a decent meal tonight.  Maybe pizza tomorrow.  I’m just going to have to figure out a better way to sneak some writing time in during the day.  Last night I went to bed at midnight and only got six hours of sleep.  Could have been worse, but morning came way too soon.  I love my sleep and I’m sleep deprived as it is.  I don’t need to deny my body of anymore sleep.  Anytime I try to work on my writing during the day though, my daughter immediately wants my attention or to watch videos of herself when she was a baby if I’m trying to work on the computer.  I think she has a “mama’s writing” sensor or something.  I’m down to five minutes and my brain is still empty regarding part of todays challenge assignment.  Less than four minutes.  Maybe it will come to me before my daughter goes to sleep and I’ll be able to sneak in a few minutes to write it down while my husband brushes her teeth.  Time’s up.  Dinner is cooking and my daughter is still with my mother-in-law.  Maybe I’ll see how much I can get done on a revision I’ve been working on…
